Pettersson (lower body) was labeled week-to-week by head coach Mike Sullivan on Monday, Wes Crosby of NHL.com reports.
Scouting Report
Has good size but needs to continue adding strength to improve his play in the defensive zone. He is improving in the decision-making process after his game appeared to plateau for a couple of seasons. Can move the puck well but is not much of a threat to score (despite a big shot), which limits his usefulness to a degree.
Long Range Potential: Big, steady defenseman.
